Still in the grip  of winter with ice on  the water trough, but the grass is growing and the cows have come through the winter and are nibbling on the short fresh grass instead of waiting to be fed. They prefer to be off looking for some fresh grass and enjoying the blackberry leaves. 

In the garden the marsh tit was feeding on the seeds of the blackberry. The robin is starting to sing and the jackdaws are on the chimney top
